The 12th International Projection Mapping Competition will take place at Meijijingu Gaien from September 14 to 16, 2024! 18 works and emerging creators from 14 countries will come together.

Ambassador to be Izure Ayame Ka Kakitsubata (Nijisanji)!  Top competition held for  2 Million Yen Prize and Title of World’s Best

The “12th 1minute Projection Mapping Competition”, one of the world’s largest international projection mapping competitions originating from Japan, has been organized by the Projection Mapping Association of Japan (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Michiyuki Ishita) since 2012, will be held at the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery in Meijijingu Gaien, Tokyo.

This competition is not only a premier showcase of top creators from around the world but also continues to explore the potential of projection mapping by incorporating cutting-edge technologies like AI. This year, with 18 finalists presenting their new challenges, the competition is expected to evolve even further.

This year’s competition will be held from September 14 to 16, with the Grand Prize and other prizewinners to be announced on the final day, followed by a grand awards ceremony. TOKYO LIGHTS will feature VTuber “Izure Ayame Ka Kakitsubata (Nijisanji)” as the official ambassador, Harry Sugiyama as the main MC for the international projection mapping competition and award ceremony, and Aki Shibuya as the supporting MC. Finalists for the 12th 1minute Projection Mapping Competition have been decided!

The finalist works will be screened at Meijijingu Gaien Memorial Picture Gallery from September 14th to September 16th.
