作品タイトル:Everybreath
Every breath My project is inspired by the image of the great Japanese female artist Yayoi Kusama. Without any doubt today Yayoi Kusama is a cult figure not only in Japan but throughout the world. Her whole life is a struggle. Kusama wants her art to give people hope. In this difficult hour of the pandemic, she wrote a beautiful poem, «A MESSAGE FROM YAYOI KUSAMA TO THE WHOLE WORLD», which is designed to inspire people to be strong and unite in the fight against such a serious challenge for all mankind. In my project, references to the most recognizable images of Kusama’s work are used: mirror balls, red dots – the pixels that make up the universe, eyes, an ocean made of mesh, a red wig, space, tentacles. Also used images significant for Japanese culture: white rabbit, wave, elements of architecture, shadow theater. The project is called «Every breath» and is designed to remind people of the importance of life itself, of the fact that we breathe. To remind of the sacrifice that doctors, firefighters, and the military make every day so that the rest can live.”
