RADIANT | Filip Roca(Spain / Montenegro)

"RADIANT is an audio-visual projection mapping artwork that explores how light rays scatter from an object. Light is invisible to the human eye until it collides with an object. What we see is the impact of the light on an surface. This piece is inspired by this phenomenon, the facade of the Memorial Picture Gallery in Tokyo becomes the canvas for this interaction. The play of light on the building creates new dimensions and changes how we perceive its otherwise ordinary appearance. This work is a digital collage composed of classical 3d CGI animation and generative effects. The general aesthetics features minimalist, bold visuals using the geometry of the architecture. The color plate is simple, mostly using white and black shades. Monochromatic graphics sometimes evolve into vivid chromatic aberration phenomena, showcasing red, orange, yellow, green, purple, and blue hues. The tempo and flow of the “Radiant” artwork are diverse, featuring dynamic rhythm in some parts and slow-evolving visuals in others. The accompanying music, which features contemporary electronic sounds, is specially composed for this piece. "

En Garde Avant Garde | Vali Chincișan(Rumania)

This videomapping artwork explores a vibrant mix of the styles of early 20th-century artists influenced by the emergence of Japanese prints in the West. Through a dynamic play of brushstrokes, textures, and color, "En Garde Avant Garde" presents a mirrored reflection of different cultures, capturing the encounter between traditional Japanese aesthetics and modern Western art movements. Marcel Proust, who included clear references to Japanese prints in his work, resonates deeply with this theme: "The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes." The result is a captivating and provocative visual experience that highlights intercultural dialogue and artistic evolution.
