One of the world's largest international projection mapping competitions from Japan will be held as a special exhibition from [11/7-11/10]!

~ Four days to experience the changes and evolution of the turbulent four years that began with the Corona disaster

A special exhibition of award-winning and invited works from the past four years of the "1 Minute Projection Mapping Competition" (hereinafter referred to as the "International Projection Mapping Competition"), which closed its 12th edition this September with great success. The world's best projection mapping works will be screened for four days from November 7 (Thu.) to 10 (Sun.), 2024, at the Seitoku Memorial Picture Gallery in Meiji Jingu Gaien, Tokyo. The exhibition will be screened as "Projection Mapping Special Exhibition - Highlights of 4 Years of Award Winning and Invited Works" during TOKYO LIGHTS 2024 -Autumn Party.

This international projection mapping competition has a long history since 2012, and the current venue, the Seitoku Memorial Picture Gallery in Meiji Jingu Gaien, has been in operation for four years.

During this period, many things happened, including a pandemic caused by the coronavirus, conflicts and divisions around the world, natural disasters, and technological innovations such as AI. During these four turbulent years, we have screened films produced under the themes of "HOPE" for 2021, "LIFE" for 2022, "LINK" for 2023, and "MIRROR" for 2024, each year representing global current trends and the creators' strong aspirations. As a highlight of the festival, all award-winning works including the Grand Prix for 2021 - 2024 and invited works by world-class creators will be screened at once.

This is a rare opportunity to view the world's finest projection mapping works, which seem to be a condensation of the time and evolution of the past four years.

This international competition has been planned and held by the Projection Mapping Association of Japan (headquartered in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Michiyuki Ishida, President) since 2012, and will be held for four years from 2021 as the main content of "TOKYO LIGHTS," Tokyo's new light festival.
