▼About TOKYO LIGHTS 2023

Launched in 2021, TOKYO LIGHTS is a light event that sends a message to the future as a new Tokyo tradition. The 'LIGHTS' in TOKYO LIGHTS embodies multiple meanings: 'Vision' representing future possibilities, 'Advanced Technology' showcasing expressive techniques, 'Talent' referring to the next generation, and 'Community' nurturing and gathering these elements. By gathering these 'lights' and harnessing their chemical reaction, we deliver a shining message of hope from Tokyo to the world.
■The Festival of Lights expresses Tokyo through the traditional Japanese colors "crimson" and "indigo"
This year's Festival of Lights will be expressed in September and November using Japan's traditional colors, specifically the “representative colors” of crimson and indigo.
◆ TOKYO LIGHTS 2023 Sep.RED
September features "TOKYO RED," centered around the color red. This palette evokes images of "celebrations" and "autumn foliage," and will be used to create a vibrant, red-carpet-style presentation reminiscent of the Academy Awards ceremony scheduled for the international event.
◆ TOKYO LIGHTS 2023 Nov. BLUE
November features “TOKYO BLUE,” centered around the color indigo. It expresses the "elegance of Edo" and "Japan Blue." Indigo, also known as the "color of victory," serves as the symbolic color for the Winners' Exhibition, where past Grand Prix champions gather, further amplifying the excitement of the competition.
