NIIGATA MINATOPIKA2016 was held in Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture, for four days from September 16 (Fri.) to 19 (Mon.), 2016.
Out of 79 entries from 25 countries and regions around the world, 18 high quality films were selected and screened.
On the final day, six judges judged the entries in an open jury session to determine the grand prix winner.

Bordos ArtWorks [Hungary].
CG creator, VJ and art director based in Budapest, Hungary. He has been working on projection mapping expression since early on, and his works at the Eiffel Tower, a huge hotel in Dubai, and the Mapping Festival have continued to have an impact on the world. This will be his first visit to Japan.

CG creator and multimedia artist. Representative of NEBA Studio, a multimedia organization based in Macau, NEBAStudio is a group of video and media creators that has garnered a great deal of attention after winning the Grand Prix in last year's international competition.

Keizomachine! and Juicy started their activities in 1998. NGT48
NGT48 was established in Niigata in 2015 as the fifth sister group of AKB48, an idol group produced by Akimoto Yasushi under the concept of "idols you can go and meet" based on the theme of community closeness. In 2016, the NGT48 theater opened in January, and in June, the "Single Selection General Election," a major event for the AKB48 group, will be held in Niigata City, adding further excitement to the event.

Art director and photographer at Hakuhodo. Served on the jury of Ars Electronica in Austria, the world's largest media arts festival organization, and is well versed in global creativity.
