~ The Final Showdown for the 2 Million Yen Prize and the Title of World's Best Begins, with ”Nijisanji” as Ambassadors ~

The Projection Mapping Association (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Michiyuki Ishi) will host the 12th annual "1minute Projection Mapping Competition," Japan's premier and one of the world's largest international projection mapping competitions. This event, which the Association has organized since 2012, will take place at the Seito Memorial Art Museum in Meiji Jingu Gaien.

This competition serves as the pinnacle stage for creators gathering from around the world, while continuously pioneering the possibilities of projection mapping by incorporating new technologies of the era, such as AI. This year, we anticipate the event will achieve further evolution through the new challenges presented by the 18 finalist teams selected to compete.

This year's schedule runs from Saturday, September 14 to Monday, September 16 (a national holiday). The final day will feature the Grand Prix and other award winners being decided, culminating in a spectacular awards ceremony. General admission is primarily available by reserving or purchasing paid tickets, which grant access to the viewing area. Please check the ticket information for details. We look forward to welcoming many participants and spectators.

Furthermore, this international competition will be held as the main event of the light festival "TOKYO LIGHTS," which has become a new seasonal tradition of light in Tokyo, continuing from the previous year.

TOKYO LIGHTS welcomes VTuber ”Iezuru Shōbu ka Tokiwa (Nijisanji)” as its official ambassador, Harry Sugiyama as the main MC for the international projection mapping competition and awards ceremony, and Aki Shibuya as the supporting MC. This star-studded lineup will elevate this festival of light. Stay tuned.
