Under the supervision of GReeeeN, the official ambassador for “TOKYO LIGHTS 2023,” a collaboration with young dancers has been realized. Using four songs—"Hoshikage no Eru," "Midori Iro," "WONDERFUL," and "Bokura no Monogatari"—the performance combines projection mapping to create a sense of new beginnings.
Through the passionate messages embedded in the music, the visuals, and the performances of the kid dancers, we express the act of “shining light and connecting,” embodying this year's concept: "LINK."
▼ The "Festival of Light Area"—a journey through a world of light, evoking a sense of the extraordinary
At the Meiji Jingu Gaien General Ballpark Softball Field, the "Festival of Light" will be held, blending light art and music. Here, cutting-edge entertainment is arranged to guide visitors on a journey through an extraordinary world of light, offering diverse experiences throughout the entire area. The festival is created through the collaboration of top creators including Mr. Minoru Fujimoto of MPLUSPLUS—known as the "Light Choreographer" for his LED productions at international event opening ceremonies—Shuhei Matsuyama of THINK AND SENSE, dod, PRISM, and others.
The production concept is "LINK TOKYO." We will connect the charms of Tokyo illuminated by various lights and share its future and happiness with the world.
Additionally, artist Ray Kunimoto composed the theme song for the entire area. This creates an intimate connection between the audience experiencing the area and listening to the music, and the space itself where the artwork is placed. Furthermore, IMAGICA EEX Inc., which utilizes advanced imaging technology and cutting-edge technology to create unprecedented live entertainment and new experiential spaces, will produce these entire areas.
In addition to an immersive entertainment space combining boldly utilized venue art and live performances, you can also enjoy food and drinks.

【Food & Beverage Area】
In collaboration with Japan's largest young chefs competition, RED U-35, we will sell bento boxes and operate a food truck. The bento chef is Kazutoyo Inoue, head chef of Chinese restaurant "Sichuan Restaurant Chen" (Tokyo). He will offer two items: the "Spicy Chicken Nanban Bento" (¥1,500), which reimagines the traditional Japanese dish "Nanban" with a Tokyo twist, and the "Refreshing Lychee Pudding" (¥500). The "Spicy Chicken Nanban Bento" will feature Tokyo GAP vegetables, an abbreviation for "Good Agricultural Practice," signifying "good agricultural initiatives." Additionally, ingredients like bell peppers and sauces with a "glossy" appearance, along with cooking techniques that highlight this quality, will express the event's key word: "light."
The chef in charge of cooking at the food truck is Masato Tamamizu, chef at Wine Restaurant Le Conte, which newly opened in Fuchu in March 2022. Inspired by gyudon, one of Japan's globally renowned dishes, he has created the "TOKYO GYUDON SANDWICH" (¥1,000) in a French style. Using Tokyo beef, this appetizing dish emphasizes a balance of spiciness and acidity. Also available is the "Tokyo Vegetable Ratatouille with Red Plum Vinegar Finish (Chilled)" (¥500), a Japanese-style adaptation of the famous southern French ratatouille. Inspired by the image of Japan's Hinomaru flag, it features red plums and is finished with vegetables from farmers in Tokyo's Tama region.
